Opinions about the athletics initiation
On Tuesday 22 March at the Terdelt sports centre in Schaerbeek, an initiation to athletics took place for the fifth and sixth year of the Divin Sauveur school, which was one of the winners of our digital challenge at the end of last year.
“This experience maps out a theme that inspires the children and pushes them to achieve a goal. Very nice! In addition, our pupils printed pictures of Kevin and Olivia Borlée to let them sign. Your ambassadors clearly add an extra dimension.”
Claire – teacher
“The most important thing is that the children have fun together with friends, no matter which sport they play. I advise them to try out different sports so that they choose the one that suits them completely.”
Kevin Borlée – ambassador
“It is enriching that children can discover the small world of athletics through the Urban Youth Games. In addition, athletics offers a broad base for general development: running, jumping, throwing… So many skills that can come back in another sport. You can see that children are motivated and enjoy competing. So they can take the step to a sports club and develop further.”
Sam – monitorscoordinator
“Sympathetic that we got to meet two athletics champions (Kevin and Olivia Borlée),” the three girlfriends begin. “The different athletics disciplines were quite intensive. The sprinting went well for me,” says Sophia. “For us, the relay race was a lot of fun. The cheers gave us an extra push,” add Olivia and Valentine.
