Host City Announcement – Ghent
We are proud to announce the second host city of the Urban Youth Games! Check out the video!
Ghent will be the first Flemish city to host the Urban Youth Games. During two events, on 1 and 15 October 2021, over 750 children will be able to try out various sports activities. On and around the Blaarmeersen, children will be able to build inclusion through sports activities such as hockey, skateboarding, rowing, cycling, athletics and football.
The activities are supervised by the various sports federations and numerous volunteers. This great sports day is free, but the number of participants is limited! So it is important to register quickly.
In addition, the Urban Youth Games organises an online challenge that is free for all Belgian primary schools. Besides numerous sports, activities such as yoga, photography, mindfulness, walking and drawing are also included. By completing activities alone, with family members, friends or classmates, children can save points that give them a chance to win sports equipment for their school or a meet-and-greet with an athlete.
