Over a period of six weeks, the UYG brought together more than 1600 children in 3 host cities: Molenbeek, Ghent and the Province of Li\u00e8ge. We offered 18 different sports including athletics, rowing, basketball, BMX, cycling, dance, football, frisbee, hockey, tree climbing, jiu-jitsu, judo, volleyball, rugby, running, skateboarding, tennis and table tennis. The introductions and various activities were supervised by sports federations, local clubs and numerous volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These live events were complemented by a six-week digital challenge to encourage youngsters to try new activities at school, with their friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This hybrid approach allowed us to share our values of respect, open-mindedness and honesty to a broader audience. Even under difficult circumstances, we were able to bring children together, inspire them and break down barriers while embracing the power of inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smiling faces of the children, the gratitude of the teachers and the positive feedback of the different partners were indicative of the success of the 2021 series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are already looking forward to the road ahead, where we organise many events and reach even more children. Let’s spread the positive message of inclusion together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
